Membership
To become a member of the Polaris Sailing Society is simple.
- You are single
- You must pay the grand sum of $75.00 per year (renewable on the anniversary date)
- Eager to make new friends on and off the water!
You may participate in up to three events (meetings, sails, parties) before being required to join (you can join earlier ;-)).
Membership benefits include Club sponsored social events; regular access to the San Diego sailing world; periodic, cost effective sailing adventures (Polaris went to France last year to barge down the Midi Canal; this year to the San Juan Islands; and next year the Caribbean (probably in January or February); weekly meetings at a prestigious yacht club; and most importantly, the friendship of folks that have an abiding love of the sea.
To join, come to Southwestern Yacht Club on any Tuesday a bit before the meeting (~7pm), walk up to the Membership Table in the entry area and say "I want to Join". For those Tuesdays when we are meeting off-site (at a local restaurant for instance, we will still have the Membership Table and you can still sign in and/or join – check this Polaris web site).
